Infant Care
The Infant and Toddler Room is licensed for 12 children from the ages of 3 to 24 months. These include full and part time spaces. A total of 4 full time Early Childhood Educators, including 1 Supervisor, are responsible for the implementation of the program in this area. These ratios are in accordance with the Early Learning And Child Care (ELCC) Regulations, which are as follows:

9:30-10:30 Outdoor play, gym, activities, and free play
10:30-10:45 Stories, bathroom and diapers
10:30-11:30 Lunch
11:15 Nap time (nap times are based on child’s own schedule)
1:30-2:30 Wake up, bathroom and diapers
2:30-3:00 Snack
3:00-4:15 Gym play and free play
4:00-4:30 Bathroom and diapers
4:15-5:30 Free play and departure
Infant feeding and napping schedules will be determined upon the individual child’s needs. Infants are included in all activities when appropriate and possible. Times given are approximate and flexible to meet the individual needs of the children.
Primary Caregivers
Transition
To ensure that your child’s move from the Toddler room to the Preschool room is as positive an experience as possible, the primary caregiver will visit on a regular basis with the child. These visits will provide the child with the opportunity to become acquainted with Preschool room staff and the program.

The Centers’ early learning and child care environments are carefully planned to offer a variety of different learning opportunities for your children to develop socially, emotionally, physically and cognitively. Exploration of both indoor and outdoor environments are provided to the children on a daily basis.

Each of these centers are available to all the children on a daily basis. These learning centers are designed to facilitate and enhance the children’s play experiences, thus capitalizing on teachable moments.
Nutrition
Snack: The Centres provide a morning breakfast, afternoon snack and milk for the children. A weekly snack menu will be posted. Children are encouraged to try all food and to drink their milk.
Hot lunch: A nutritious hot lunch based on the Canada Food Guide is provided on a daily basis. A variety of foods are offered and children are encouraged to try them all and finish as much as possible. The parents will provide alternative foods for those children with food allergies. Two week rotational menus are posted on the parent’s bulletin board. Changes to the menus may be made in accordance to supplies on hand.
